We are excited to announce True as a 2021 Verses Project Artist Grant Winner

True is a NYC teacher born and raised in the County of Kings. She fell in love with music and poetry at 10 years old. True sings and raps about her experiences as a Black queer femme living in the U.S. It's important to her that music remains a collective experience where people can relate to all aspects of the sound.

The Verses Project Artist Grant will support True’s project, Ebb and Flow, which explores two sides of a women’s perspective after a chance encounter with a potential love interest.
