Verses Project Artist Grants
Jason Williams’ legacy lives on through what he loved most: music, people and inspired artistry. Verses Project seeks to embody Jason’s values and continue to deliver his vision by fostering up and coming artists along their journey to greatness. While nothing can replace what Jason himself instilled and inspired in others, Verses Project hopes to keep his mission alive, well and thriving by providing support to emerging artists, nurturing their talent and growth, and helping their dreams become a reality - one project at a time.
Grant Opportunity
Verses Project has completed 2 rounds of our artist grant program in support of aspiring musicians. We have awarded grants of $1,000 to hip hop MCs, producers and DJs in an existing music endeavor. Our goal is to help close a gap that has been a barrier to an artist’s ability to progress in their craft. Verses awards can be used to cover any expenses directly associated with advancing a project the artist is currently working on (e.g., equipment, studio time, classes, etc.). Through Verses Project we hope to help Jason's legacy live on and continue to grow.

Applicants have been hip hop MCs, DJs or producers, 18 years of age or older, whose primary residence is within the United States. Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate their best work and must submit a sample for consideration. Prior experience in the music industry is not required.
